Constipation

Aromatherapy: Blend of Rosemary, Lemon and Mandarin – massage the abdomen.

Homeopathy: Bryonia – for hard stools. Nux vomica – when you can not move bowels even though you feel like you need to. Silica – for when you try to move bowels, but stool seems to slip back in.

Vitamins/Minerals: Increase intake of  B-complex vitamins for chronic constipation and increase fiber intake.

Food: Do not eat cheese. Prevent with apples, berries, molasses, bulgur, coffee, currants, fiber, flaxseed, honey, prunes, raisins, rye bread and yogurt, squash, water and whole grains.

Reflexology: Reflexes to areas affected – large intestine, rectum etc. Reflexes to small intestine, liver because they may not be functioning well. Reflexes to lower spine to ensure good nerve supply to intestines. Reflexes to adrenals for good muscle tone to intestines. Reflexes to solar plexus for relaxation.
