Headaches/Migraines
Aromatherapy: Neat lavender rubbed onto the temples, forehead, or back of the neck. Add peppermint to stay alert. Inhalations of lavender, peppermint or eucalyptus.
Homeopathy: Belladonna – right side headache/migraine. Arnica – head trauma. Bryonia – throbbing pain that goes into left eye. China – headaches from dehydration. Gelsemium – for headaches with blurred vision.
Vitamins/Minerals: Increase intake of Niacin, B-complex vitamins (preferably time release), Calcium and Magnesium.
Food: Triggers – Foods that contain tyramine and nitrites (used to preserve cured meats such as bologna, hot dogs and packaged meat). Any foods containing MSG. Relief – Carbs, small amounts of caffeine and more protein.
Reflexology: Reflexes to the top of the head. Reflexes to upper spine and neck to reduce tension. Reflexes to solar plexus for relaxation. Reflexes to eyes, sinuses, digestive tract, liver, hormonal glands which may be involved.
