Insomnia

Aromatherapy: Lavender and chamomile, sandalwood and/or ylang ylang. Use these in a warm bath at bedtime, in massage or vaporizer. You may also want to try 2 drops of lavender on a tissue tucked under your pillow.

Homeopathy: Gelsemium – muscular weakness and aching. Rhus tox – Restlessness, aching joints. Bryonia – bad headache and dry cough.  Eupatorium perfoliatum – intense aches in the back and limbs with shivering chills. Arsenicum – loss of fluids, diarrhea and vomiting. Baptisa – for gastric flu.

Vitamins/Minerals: Take one calcium and magnesium tablet just before bedtime and increase intake of Vitamins B6 and B3 and Calcium. Melatonin supplement.

Food:  Eat a small amount before bed. Eat turkey, shellfish. Avoid alcohol and caffeine.

Reflexology: Reflexes to head areas and solar plexus for relaxation. Reflexes to adrenals to reduce stress. Reflexes to painful areas which may be causing the problem.
